So! Our beloved x86 Microprocessor architecture will be 30! It was first introduced on June 8th 1978 as the Intel 8086, was used in IBM 5150 (the first ‘PC’) and the same instruction set is followed even now (more or less) in all the modern Intel/AMD/VIA Microprocessors! Numerous other competing architectures have emerged since…But the x86 doesn’t seem to die!
